Catching BBs with BH is one thing,
Bragging about it on FB is another;
Instead of applause, I got brickbats (BB2)!
One advised me not to forget washing hands afterward,
Another archly asked how come the flies were drawn to me!
A third was moved into pantun mood to inform me that
flies and bluebottles share one thing in common -
They shit on shit. All year six stuff dumped on FB!
None bar none think of fly catching as an art, a science,
And an exercise in mind-body coordination.
If you google, there's plenty of stuff
Which wax lyrical on catching BBs with BH.
A pair of quick hands is handy in life and the ability
To catch flies with BH provides a good test and training.
I betcha the BB2 throwers are not only flabby
in the middle but also upstairs. They can't think outside
Their conditioned box.
With me it is more than an exercise in quick hand -
Catching BBs with BH has been a lifelong passion:
I've been swiping flies since childhood,
Even keeping a mental logbook:
I can do it with either hand;
The most number caught in one sweep is 12;
Once in a while, I've caught a fly in mid flight!
The only other thing I've caught more than flies
Is roaches. Scores since childhood. Sometimes
with BH, but, I must admit, mostly with aerosols.
